The compression knob functions like a threshold control. Clockwise increases the amount of compression. There is a fast-attack button. There is an enhancer that is not much use in my opinion. I never use it. On the back is a phantom power button, input, mic input, an insert, mix input and two outputs. But it's mono - not stereo. The compression on this unit is very warm and smooth. It's velvet. It works best on vocals and acoustic guitars in my opinion. JoeMeek has kept this model in its line-up for many years, with a few upgrades. It's a winner. It's essential to my music.
